Don't know the movie, but that chick has some serious infrastructure.

Mannequin?

What's up with the Barracuda? Is that supposed to be Nancy Wilson? Sarah Palin?

rshangle said...

I'm looking forward to the scene in "Nailin' Palin" where Ms. Next-VP is serviced by Jimmy Page and John Bonham, via a red snapper, in the hotel room overlooking the Thames.

Wait, so I got off topic. What is the movie? Anyone?

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever?

Who's going to get this, folks? Let's go.

rshangle said...

Christine?

Nosir. I haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I'm pretty sure, now that I think about it, that this scene takes place at night. Do I need to update it for greater accuracy?

rshangle said...

Yes, please update it for greater accuracy. Much like Tang's owl one will be updated by me for greater accuracy.

License to Drive? Or like the Legend of Billie Jean?

rshangle said...

My God...

Mark said...

Oh yes. Thanks to certain video sharing sites, I have been able to update this for pinpoint accuracy. All that's missing now is a copyright infringement lawsuit by the director.

The man who gets this will be a great man in my eyes!

All I know is someone's going to have to pay for that car.

Less Than Zero?

So that's a knife and not co caine? I have no idea

Gone in 60 Seconds?

Mark said...

Way off!

The Outsiders?

Mark said...

No, but you're only three years off the movie's release date.

rshangle said...

The Hollywood Knights?

Mark said...

I don't know what that is. Is it the movie version of Bob Seger's life story? In those hiiiiiiiiiigh rollin' hills!

rshangle said...

Dybbuk Shmybbuk, I Said 'More Ham'?

It appears that not even my 1337 sketchup-to-film identification-and-mapping skills can get this one. It is the greatest SMT mystery of all time!

What is this, Headlock Movie Trivia?

So, the Outsiders was 1983, so this movie is from either 1980 or 86...

rshangle said...

I know, hence my guessing The Hollywood Knights, which has a b-sheet that looks pretty much exactly like Jorge's rendering.

Mark said...

Looks like it's time for you dudes to start submitting the movies from 80 and 86 in alphabetical order... one by one... so sad.

rshangle said...

Believe it or not, using the "Films made in 1980" and "films made in 1986" pages on wikipedia is what led me to Hollywood Knights. This scene, while well-rendered, is clearly not anything I've ever seen/will see.

total shot in the dark but...

Used Cars?

Mark said...

Sorry, dudes.

I could add more stuff, but I don't think that would make a difference at this point. It's as accurate and complete as it needs to be.

Should I start throwing hints? What's the SMT protocol on this?

rshangle said...

Start with one very light hint. You are authorized. Code word: hint1. Action word: go-dog-1.

mad max

rshangle said...

Blue Velvet.

Mark said...

Got it. Did you read my hint? I tried to delete it after I realized it was a giveaway.

rshangle said...

I did indeed read your hint, and it was the missing puzzle piece. So I can really take no joy in this victory. Good one / hard one.

The Balls said...

What was the hint?

The Balls said...

What was the hint?

Mark said...

My hint was that the song playing in the background of this scene was by Roy Orbison.

Then I realized that if you google "1986 movie Roy Orbison," Blue Velvet pops right up.

Mark said...

You can see the clip from this scene on YouTube, fyi. I think if you just looke for blue velvet candy colored or something it'll come up. Check it out -- it's a cinema classic everyone should know by heart.

Warmly,
Jorge
